The company gobbledygook
We've been searching for a long time for another word for what we do other than "academy". It's not that it's bad, but it reminds us of a neighborhood academy on the corner run by Mrs. Carmen. And no, that's not us.
Don't get us wrong! Thanks to Mrs. Carmen, a lot of people have passed their exams, but that's not our thing. Alice & Bob was born because we were pretty fed up with seeing the same training over and over. Of not finding the type of training that we would have liked to do ourselves.
The thing is, either you spend hours and hours watching YouTube videos that end up falling short, or you spend a fortune on a master's degree that you don't know if it will be useful for anything.
"Studying is not the same as learning."
You don't need to waste 50 hours on a course you could have done in 10. You don't need to watch 100 videos to learn something you could have learned in 1.
That's why we created Alice & Bob. Because we love teaching. We love being able to make a living from it. And because we believe training can be different.
